pMD is looking for a detail-oriented Contract Medical Claims Resolution Specialist to support physician practices by aggressively following up on healthcare insurance receivables. This flexible contractor role focuses on resolving unpaid or denied claims, ensuring compliance, and helping practices maximize revenue.

Schedule
- Contract position, minimum of 20 hours per week
- Calls must be made between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
- Remote, US-based
What You’ll Do
- Contact insurance carriers to follow up on past-due accounts and secure payment of claims
- Research and update status of unpaid or denied claims
- Submit claim appeals with supporting documentation
- Resolve complex claim issues in multistate practices while meeting accuracy and compliance standards
- Document claim activity in the internal system
- Meet productivity goals (7 encounters per hour / 175 per week)
What You Need
- Prior medical billing or collections experience with knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with payers
- Active subscription to Microsoft Word and access to a reliable printer with supplies
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- Must currently work as a sole proprietor or be willing to register a business per contractor guidelines (W9 required)
- Reside in the US and be authorized to work in the US
Compensation
- $6.00 per verified claim
- Paid on a per-claim basis
