What You’ll Do

  • Follow up on invoices sent to payers that have not been paid
  • Research claim denials and work them through to resolution (convert denials)
  • Contact commercial insurance companies by phone and through payer portals
  • Manage a portfolio of payers, staying on top of aging, collections, and denials
  • Support billing by reducing denials and keeping payer rules updated
  • Hit productivity goals, including processing at least 5 claims per hour
  • Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly collections goals

What You Need

  • Medical collections experience required (they’re explicit: must have it to be considered)
  • 2+ years in a call center environment
  • 1+ year in the medical industry with medical terminology familiarity (preferably DME and home healthcare)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong organization, ethical work habits, and confidence navigating insurance portals
  • Solid time management, accountability, and self-direction for remote work
