Medix is looking for a reliable, communicative medical scheduler for a healthcare company in the Phoenix area! You must LIVE in AZ as training is required on site for the first 2 weeks.

Position: Medical Scheduler
Location: N Phx 85032 / Remote
Overview:
This role is 100% remote. However, training will be in office for 2 weeks and then will work remotely afterwards.
Schedulers will coordinate with doctors, staff, nurses, patients, and other medical departments while setting appointments over the phone. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision. Customer service skills and phone etiquette are essential for the position.
Duties:
- Professionally answers a high volume of inbound calls from providers and patients (70-80 calls a day).
- Make outbound calls when necessary to provide resolution.
- Responds to and resolves all forms of customer inquiries.
- Performs all aspects of scheduling patient appointments.
- Escalates complaints to the Patient Ambassador.
- Provides customers with accurate information.
- Recognizes, documents, and alerts to trends of customer calls.
- Recommends process improvements.
- Processes test order forms and referrals.
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- 1+ year of medical scheduling experience
- EMR Experience
- COVID Vaccine
Nice to Have Skills:
- Cardiology Experience
- NextGen Experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- AllScripts experience
Soft Skill/Attribute Requirements:

Schedule/Shift:
M-F: 8:30am-5pm
Pay: $19 – $20/hr (depending on exp)
