A large healthcare system in Dallas has an immediate opening for a Medication Access Specialist. This is a temp-to-hire position.
Position is hybrid for training and then can transition to remote.
Current pharmacy technican or LVN certifications – must be in good standing.
salary: $17.99 – $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Texas Pharmacy Technician or LVN certifications, must be in good standing.
- Top skills: Call center experience. On base Experience. Epic experience. Previous experience in handling refill requests or Prior Authorizations.
- Receives and processes all requests for medication refills by fax, phone, person to person and by electronic format.
- Works with physicians to ensure refill protocols are in place.
- Uses clinic protocols and researching patient information to assist care providers with medication refills.
- Corresponds with insurance companies regarding prior authorizations for medications.
