Title: Military/Veterans Benefits Specialist

Day to day Tasks will include:
- Receiving 30-100 incoming calls relating to military-related benefit programs for the university
- Working in the salesforce platform for documentation, and with the PureCloud phone system
- Reviewing and resolving inquiries from both perspective and active students some of which are active-duty members, along with their enrollment counselors and program mentors.
- Coordinating and acting as a liaison between the Department of Veterans Affairs and other military entities and the student. Daily tasks will also include researching and resolving problems with claims, billings, non-payment, etc.
- Completing attendance certifications and invoices monthly and will need to coordinate with various military entities to research and resolve student questions and problems. T
- Maintaining and updating records and files and ensures payments are processed and sent to students or to the University.
- Checking eligibility status of student and updates records to reflect correct current entitlement.
- Attending and participating in departmental meetings
- Obtaining and conveys information as required for compliance.
- Adjusting courses and funding for active-duty students
Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
- 2+ years of experience in financial aid or similar Benefits or customer service field/environment
- Experience on with PureCloud phone system or a comparable alternative
- Must have experience with a role that requires typing and working with multiple software platforms at once
- Access to stable Wi-Fi and a working area at home Plusses:
- Knowledge and/or experience working with VA benefit programs.
