- Full-time, Remote (U.S.)
Responsibilities
- Research and resolve patient self-pay, insurance, and bad-debt accounts
- Explain billing policies and patient balances clearly and professionally
- Review EOBs and insurance codes (CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS, DRGs, etc.)
- Interpret patient statements and confirm contractual adjustments
- Gather supporting documentation for account follow-up
- Resolve patient inquiries within 24-48 hours
- Work in Epic and maintain HIPAA compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Knowledge of EOBs, medical coding, and insurance processes
- Experience using EPIC strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer support skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Pay & Benefits
