The opportunity: The Outreach Specialist is primarily responsible for contacting members who haven’t been to the dentist for a specified period of time to assist with locating a dentist and scheduling an appointment. The coordinator will need to assist the member with locating a dentist, changing the assigned Main Dental Home, and coordination of benefits as needed. They may also work on general member outreach campaigns as well as broken appointment rescheduling calls.

How you will contribute:

  • Outbound calls to members who recently received treatment at a hospital emergency room to educate the member on more cost-effective dental care.
  • Contact members via telephone who haven’t been to the dentist to ensure the member is receiving preventive services.
  • Educating members on Value added services.
  • Contacting members via telephone to remind of upcoming dental appointments.
  • Meeting outbound call metrics such as but not limited to, calls per hour.
  • Assist with administrative duties and departmental projects as assigned.
  • Documents the system with results.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

How you will contribute:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Call center experience preferred.
  • Proven professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently operate computer and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work remotely, independently and with team
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast pace production environment
  • Cooperative, professional and effective interaction skills with co-workers, company staff and visitors
