Deliver exceptional patient support while ensuring compliance and accuracy in front office operations. Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator IV to join our team and serve as a trusted point of contact for patients, referral sources, and internal staff.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Remote (U.S.) – EST hours
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST
  • Salary range: $50,000 – $63,000 annually (based on skills, experience, and location)

What You’ll Do

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, referral sources, and colleagues
  • Counsel patients on financial responsibility after insurance verification
  • Obtain co-payments and process cash receipts per company guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient files in compliance with HIPAA and Hanger policies
  • Manage referrals, authorizations, and prescriptions to ensure timely processing
  • Coordinate clinician schedules and patient appointments for optimal coverage
  • Efficiently manage multiple phone lines and document clear, concise records
  • Support quality assurance and follow-up activities to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Assist with billing system entries, bank deposits, and internal control compliance
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned

What You Need

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Hanger’s Talent Bullseye assessment with a minimum score of 70
  • Ability to key at least 30 words per minute accurately
  • Eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license under Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy

Preferred

  • 4–6 years of customer service, administrative, or related experience
  • Experience with medical front office procedures or receptionist roles
  • Knowledge of medical reimbursement, insurance terminology, and HIPAA rules

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with ICD coding, office equipment, and Windows-based software
