POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Patient Account Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on reviewing remittance advice forms to ensure proper reimbursement, handle billing and collections, and manage denials and appeals for multiple hospital systems. Success in this position means maintaining accurate billing records, identifying payer trends, and ensuring timely resolution of accounts. You will play a critical part in optimizing the revenue cycle process while working in a collaborative team environment.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all aspects of account follow-up and collections, including processing appeals.

• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure proper reimbursement and report any payer trends or issues.

• Analyze accounts to determine the next appropriate actions for resolution and escalation of trends.

• Collaborate with management to reduce account aging through proactive communication and follow-up.

• Resolve payer denials by working with insurance companies, correcting, and reprocessing claims.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in physician billing and collections, highly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement policies and procedures.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
