What You’ll Do
- Research and resolve patient accounts through insurance and patient follow-up.
- Review claims, remittance, and payment activity; pursue disputed balances with payors.
- Identify trends in denials or delays and escalate as needed.
- Update account information, document claim status, and maintain productivity standards.
- Support team members, assist with projects, and ensure compliance with regulations.
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college in business or accounting preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in medical claims or hospital collections.
- Knowledge of Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid payors.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle processes, EOBs, UB04, and HCFA 1500 forms.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Compensation
- $15.80 – $23.70 per hour (based on location, qualifications, and experience)
- Signing bonus may be available for qualified new hires
- Holiday pay at time-and-a-half for Conifer-observed holidays
