Schedule
- Full-time, Remote (U.S.)
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT
- Pay range: $17.75 – $21.00/hour
- Annual bonus: up to 5% of base pay
What You’ll Do
- Educate patients on payment options and financial assistance programs
- Verify insurance coverage and prepare accounts for billing
- Coordinate patient care with clinics and insurance companies
- Collect patient payments and process payment arrangements
- Review, document, and submit billing forms accurately
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and third-party requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records and update account balances
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Less than 1 year of related experience; medical collections or call center background preferred
- Customer service skills for handling difficult conversations
- Experience in a high-volume medical office preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, ICD-9/10, HCPC/CPT coding, and FDCPA helpful
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and billing systems
