Schedule

  • Remote position available in Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones
  • Shifts based on location:
    • PT: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    • MT: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
    • CT: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
    • ET: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Regular, timely attendance required

Responsibilities

  • Manage main phone line and respond to all inquiries from members, clients, and providers
  • Educate members on the Patient Advocacy Center process
  • Document events and maintain accurate claim records
  • Prioritize and manage a daily inventory of claims
  • Direct specific inquiries to appropriate departments
  • Review, forward, and process incoming mail
  • Send member letters, record contact information, and request required documents
  • Keep Lead Patient Advocate informed of urgent issues
  • Maintain a safe, organized remote work environment
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (minimum) and 1+ year relevant experience
  • Experience in healthcare claims management, benefit plan interpretation, and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) review
  • Skilled at handling high call volumes and phone-based inquiries
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
  • PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Professional, flexible, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
