POSITION SUMMARY:
The patient services representative is responsible for a variety of activities related to patient intake and care. They work in our medical offices and serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the facility.
This position is non-exempt, and reports to the Clinic Manager.
Essential functions:
Greets, schedules, checks in patients while utilizing proper customer service and applying core values.
Verifies patient demographic and insurance information
Collects co-payments, deductibles, and other financial responsibilities.
Schedule patients for Bayless services as needed.
Ensure pre-visit screeners, consent packets, and patient forms are completed and uploaded into patient chart.
Follow up with patients that do not arrive for scheduled appointment(s).
Schedule interpreter services, and transportation for patient(s) as needed.
All scanning completed within 2 business days.
Accept perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
One-to-two-year(s) customer service experience
1+ years medical front office experience preferred
Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills
Problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution oriented.
Collaboration between patients, and providers for excellent care
Knowledge of, and ability to use, electronic record keeping systems (EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, spreadsheets, etc.) preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred

Tools and Equipment Requirements

Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description
This position may be remote, hybrid or in-person based on the assigned department’s business needs.
If designated as hybrid or remote, the availability of virtual workdays is subject to change based on business needs
Some travel required to field locations to facilitate execution of responsibilities may be required; Must be able to travel to locations other than primary worksite
Driver’s license and valid insurance may be required when operating a personal vehicle
