What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality patient support through inbound and outbound calls with a focus on first-call resolution
- Manage inquiries across multiple communication channels using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
- Review patient statements, explain benefits, and resolve questions about balances or payment plans
- Assist with insurance-related questions using healthcare industry knowledge (HIPAA, EOBs, CPT & ICD-10 codes, HCPCS, DRGs, referrals, etc.)
- Research and resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Provide input for new hire training, mentoring, and probationary support
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare call center environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfort working with EMR systems and multiple screens simultaneously
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with professionalism and confidentiality
