Schedule
- Contract role with potential to convert to full-time
- Remote, U.S. based only
- 40 hours per week
- Shift options:
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
• 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST
• 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST
Responsibilities
- Receive and review medical claims from healthcare providers and patients
- Verify documentation, interpret EOBs and CMS1500 forms, and determine eligibility for payment or rejection based on program rules
- Support patient payment assistance programs such as co-pay cards and vouchers
- Document all interactions accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or fax
- Identify and escalate operational issues when needed
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare support environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of claims processing experience required
- Medical Billing Certification required
- Coding Certification required
- HIPAA certification required
- Strong ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Customer service experience preferred
- Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Pay & Benefits
- $23/hour (contract role, may vary based on experience and location)
