Pay range: $26 to $30 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Collect underwriting documentation from clients to support onboarding and merchant setup
- Maintain and update reporting for Payment Operations and internal partners (status, issues, timelines)
- Monitor onboarding progress and surface blockers early
- Coordinate with project managers to guide merchant onboarding and resolve issues
- Support due diligence reviews to ensure applications are accurate and complete
- Research and resolve merchant inquiries independently
- Perform merchant setup and configuration to ensure correct settings
- Update merchant files daily to maintain clean documentation and activity records
- Process onboarding applications quickly and coordinate issue resolution with partners and underwriting
- Learn and apply the merchant application and underwriting process for credit card and ACH processors
- Lead resolution of merchant setup or configuration issues and take steps to prevent repeats
- Support additional Payment Operations tasks as assigned
What You Need
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel is a must, expert level preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong investigative and analytical skills
- Strong time management, organization, and prioritization in a high volume environment
- Clear verbal and written communication for clients and internal teams
- Comfort working independently and managing multiple projects at once
- Familiarity with project management frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Preferred: onboarding specialist experience (insurance or merchant services a plus)
- Preferred: familiarity with Jira and Salesforce
- Plus: payments industry experience
