Schedule
Remote, full-time role. Must be able to work within deadlines in high-volume conditions, manage multiple priorities, and communicate professionally with external and internal partners while working from home.
What You’ll Do
- Research payment posting issues and identify the root cause of posting discrepancies
- Ensure payments are applied to patient accounts accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate with banks, clients, attorneys, and insurance carriers to resolve posting issues
- Navigate insurance carrier websites to support research and resolution
- Follow through on open items, identify roadblocks, and propose resolution scenarios
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Knowledge of payment processes from insurance carriers, patients, and HSAs
- Ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to multitask and adapt to change constructively
- Strong follow-through with the ability to identify roadblocks and provide resolution scenarios
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency navigating insurance carrier websites
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Pleasant, professional phone manner when communicating with outside resources
- Medical billing office and payment posting knowledge (preferred)
