Our H2H Connect Contact Center operates hotlines including NYC 988, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Disaster Distress Helpline, and others—serving more than 40,000 people every month.
Schedule
- Full-time, remote
- Morning, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available
- Evening shifts earn 5% differential pay
- Overnight shifts earn 10% differential pay
- Must be able to attend a 3-week training program without interruption
What You’ll Do
- Provide person-centered, trauma-informed peer support to warm line callers
- Share lived experience to empower recovery, promote hope, and build trust
- Document interactions accurately and efficiently
- Follow peer support policies and SAMHSA’s principles of recovery
- Escalate callers in crisis to counselors for immediate assistance
- Meet or exceed performance and service quality goals
What You Need
- Certification (or eligibility) as Peer Support Specialist, Family Advocate, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, or Certified Recovery Peer Advocate through NYS OMH or OASAS
- If not certified, willingness to complete certification within 12 months of hire
- Lived experience in mental health recovery, substance use, problem gambling, or as a family caregiver navigating the child-serving system
- Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills
- Ability to manage conversations with professionalism and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred (contact center or mental health background a plus)
