Full-Time, Second Shift

Springstone is an innovative and expanding national behavioral health hospital system. Our state-of-the-art treatment facilities provide evidenced-based, mental health and addiction care to those in need throughout the United States. Our call center is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and we are currently seeking candidates for a full-time, mental health phone intake counselor.
The phone counselor takes calls from those seeking assistance from our behavioral health hospitals and refers them to the proper resources. This position requires the ability to provide prompt, high-quality, compassionate assistance and crisis services. This is a full-time counseling position that includes working some weekends and holidays.
The successful candidate must complete a 3 week training period on-site at our call center. Once training is satisfactorily completed, the position can/will transition to remote work.

Position Details
- Answer calls from referring facilities regarding possible admissions, referrals for scheduling assessments, or general questions about programming.
- Respect the confidentiality of callers/patients in every way.
- Works in collaboration with team to provide quality care for all patients and appropriate support for all Springstone hospitals.
- The counselor addresses crisis calls in a professional manner and uses stabilization techniques to address caller issues.
- Communicates effectively with hospital staff members in the locations where the patient will be further assisted.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in: Psychology, Counseling, Education or other related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Experience:
- Experience with case management and crisis intervention a plus.
- Previous call center experience a plus
- Ability to type 40 wpm
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to multitask (phone counselor must be able to complete data entry while taking calls from those seeking assistance).
- Ability to use critical thinking skills in assessing patient needs and ability to access treatment.
- Excellent customer services, verbal, and written communication skills. Organizational and multitasking skills. May be required to work flexible hours. Position may be facility based or remote.
- Demonstrates strong empathetic and listening skills, good interpersonal boundaries, assertive communication style, and case management skills.
