BroadPath is hiring Prior Authorization Specialists to work from home, assisting members, healthcare providers, and internal teams with verifying medication coverage, processing prior authorizations, and providing timely status updates.

Schedule
- Full-time, remote within the USA
- 100% attendance required during training (no time off within first 60 days)
- On-camera participation required during interviews, training, meetings, and check-ins
Responsibilities
- Verify eligibility and coverage for prescribed medications
- If medication is not covered, work with the caller to determine alternatives and assist in building prior authorizations
- Provide status updates on pending prior authorizations
- Review medication inquiries and contact healthcare providers for follow-up
- Accurately interpret provider documentation and enter data into the system
- Maintain excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Requirements
- 1+ years of healthcare, claims, or medical administrative work experience
- 1+ years of recent continuous employment with previous employer
- 2+ years of customer service or call center experience
- Knowledge of medical and healthcare terminology
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, system navigation)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Personal equipment: 19″ monitor or larger (VGA or HDMI), USB wired mouse, ethernet cable, optional USB wired keyboard
- Reliable hardwired internet with at least 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload
Preferred:
- Experience managing or processing medication prior authorizations
