This position is a work from home support our Northern CA Property Department. Hours will be 8:00am – 4:45pm PST.
Position Summary:
The primary job function is to evaluate, negotiate, and settle medium to high value claims in a timely and efficient manner as to prevent unnecessary expense to the Company and policyholders.
Essential Job Functions:
-Provides complete, courteous and timely customer service to aid in the settlement process and maintain customer satisfaction.
-Maintains knowledge of current Company policy, claim developments, procedural changes and current values.
-Maintains comprehensive documentation of claim information for assigned files.
-Maintains diary of files in pending and update file information to ensure accurate record of claims; continually reviews and monitors progress and expense of claims in pending.
-Issues settlement payments based on predetermined payment authority and obtain appropriate releases for adjusted claims.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required and/or completion of an in-house training program
Experience:
Minimum of 3-years of experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
