Schedule

  • Remote (United States)
  • Long-term seasonal (temporary) role
  • Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (includes breaks)

What You’ll Do

  • Handle outgoing medical records requests through an internal portal
  • Contact healthcare facilities and doctors’ offices to request records and respond to emails
  • Provide professional customer service over the phone and via email
  • Follow company policies and legal requirements to protect confidentiality
  • Report any customer service issues or potential HIPAA violations to your Manager
  • Keep your Supervisor updated on progress, challenges, and required follow-ups
  • Flag work difficulties or special requests and help with extra tasks when needed
  • Stay current on HIPAA regulations and facility-specific policies
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel for back-end tasks and accurate data entry
  • Remain flexible and professional in challenging situations

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Administrative or back-office experience preferred, especially in healthcare
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Understanding of medical record processes and HIPAA requirements
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload and hit goals
