Hours:  Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended hours when needed)

Location: Remote

Job Summary

Regional Outreach Representatives are responsible for representing Columbia Southern University across the United States and Canada during industry-related activities to market CSU, recruit prospective students and partners, and cultivate relationships with existing students and partners.  Regional Outreach Representatives will also identify business development opportunities with industry organizations and Centers of Influence.  The Regional Outreach Representative will provide exceptional customer service in all aspects of the job duties listed below.

Essential Job Tasks Additional duties may be assigned. 

  • Researches, selects, plans and attends approved and productive virtual and in-person events—conferences, expos, training classes, partner and target partner visits–to market CSU.
  • Requires heavy travel (air and ground) approximately 125 days per year including some weekends and holidays.
  • Effectively manages all event details including but not limited to booth set-up and breakdown, presentation delivery, lead generation, follow-up emails, CRM entry.
  • Works with learning partners and targets partners to develop and grow relationships through regular contact and onsite/virtual visits.
  • Identifies business development opportunities through outreach activities including contacts with Centers of Influence, industry organizations and associations, along with capturing information at outreach activities (conferences, meetings, visits).
  • Performs administrative duties associated with the position including maintaining calendars and travel budgets/schedules, accurately completing trip forms and other data in Salesforce, and reconciling credit card expenses using Concur according to department timelines.
  • Creates and conducts effective sales presentations.
  • Requests materials and maintains inventory for territory education fairs, visits, and events.
  • Increases percentage of enrollments through lead generation through the use of recruiting, training, experience, and follow-up with prospects and partners.
  • Attends onsite meetings as requested by leadership.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor during all work-related activities.
  • Promotes, maintains, and enhances workplace culture within the department and university.

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales and business development experience with a proven track record required.
