POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving accelerated revenue growth by developing the reseller channel and driving demand generation efforts within their designated geographic territory. As a crucial member of the sales organization, this individual is tasked with strengthening and enhancing partner relationships to optimize performance while actively pursuing new customers for Inseego, leveraging our extensive portfolio of 5G solutions. Success in this role is gauged by the revenue growth of channel partners and end customers in the assigned territory.

Must be in one of these states: AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, or TN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: Identify, develop, and execute a sales strategy to build a robust pipeline and close new business opportunities in the assigned territory. This includes strategic prospecting of new customers independently and in collaboration with Inseego’s marketing team, solutions architects, and the entire ecosystem of channel partners and influencers, utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Sales Execution: Drive new business acquisition through a consultative, solution-based sales approach, focusing on customer needs and effective problem-solving. Regional Sales Managers should act as trusted advisors, positioning Inseego’s portfolio as a viable solution to meet the growing demands of businesses. Uphold high ethical standards, demonstrating values and principles of respect, confidence, integrity, and trust.
  • Product Expertise: Develop comprehensive product knowledge and effectively communicate Inseego’s value proposition to customers, prospects, and industry influencers. Ongoing education and training are essential to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Inseego solutions and industry trends.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a 12-month view of the opportunity pipeline with specific details, including end user information, product details, quantities, anticipated delivery date, anticipated close date, route to market (distributor/reseller), carrier influencer (if applicable), and next steps.
  • Lead Disbursement: Regional Sales Managers are responsible for the disbursement of marketing-generated leads to the channel for fulfillment. Run rate business and low-volume opportunities should be led by channel partners, while larger or high-profile opportunities should be led by the Regional Sales Manager in collaboration with channel partners.
  • Deal Registrations: Vet, approve, or reject inbound deal registrations from the channel organization within the assigned territory. Multiple deal registrations for the same end customer project require approval from the SVP of Channels.
  • Channel Expansion: Identify potential new partners, evaluate alignment with priority growth segments, and collaborate with the Director of Channel Development and Sales Operations to deliver a seamless onboarding process for new partners. Continuously assess and refine partner recruitment strategy based on market demands and the competitive landscape.
  • Channel Sponsorship: Build strong relationships with key executives and stakeholders of channel partner organizations, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership built on trust and joint success. Responsible for driving consistency in partner engagement and participating in quarterly business reviews with high-profile partners.
  • Channel Tools and Processes: Manage and maintain general oversight of the partner portal, including continuous improvements for the deal registration process and opportunity management in SFDC. Align the demand forecast with distribution forecasts to ensure inventory is available at distribution partners ahead of required deployment.
