What You’ll Do

  • Monitor claims activity to ensure accuracy and successful submission
  • Set up patient billing info correctly in pharmacy software
  • Help resolve claim issues with internal teams
  • Maintain reference info for reimbursement and manufacturer copay assistance
  • Document insurance and prescription/order details thoroughly in patient profiles
  • Respond to employee, patient, or client questions related to reimbursement and billing
  • Join meetings as needed related to reimbursement/billing
  • Occasionally contact patients with outstanding balances to explain billing options
  • Follow SOPs and stay compliant with applicable laws and ethics standards

What You Need

  • High School Diploma/GED (some college preferred)
  • CPhT preferred
  • Pharmacy tech license or trainee license strongly preferred in states that require it
  • Preferred experience: pharmacy or health plan claims billing, benefit assessments, claims documentation, or claims auditing
  • Comfort with compliance standards and consistent documentation
