About the Role
Join GRT Financial as a Remote Settlement Coordinator and play a pivotal role in helping clients reduce and resolve debt. You’ll negotiate with creditors, collection agencies, and debt buyers to secure favorable settlements. Ideal for driven individuals with a knack for organization, communication, and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and analyze large Excel data sets to prioritize accounts for settlement
- Initiate and manage creditor negotiations via calls, emails, and faxes
- Build and maintain relationships with creditors, debt buyers, and collection agencies
- Organize contact outcomes for internal reference
- Calculate payment options based on client budgets
- Track and follow up on all ongoing negotiations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate, timely settlements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; BA or relevant training preferred
- 1+ year of experience in collections, negotiation, or financial services a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with CRM platforms; Debt Pay Pro knowledge is a bonus
- Solid math and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
