Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Agriculture Team at DTN! We are seeking a Senior Account Executive who will be selling our current and new products, and creating real value for our customers.
The Senior Account Executive for our Agriculture team is an outside sales opportunity with assigned accounts across a US territory focused on the Ag industry.
What you will be responsible for:
- Developing new clients through strategic prospecting, relationship building and solution-selling. Individual will sell the company’s products/services directly to end-users to achieve/exceed significant sales objectives for assigned accounts and prospects.
- Understanding strategic direction of customers to grow existing accounts and developing sales strategy to meet long-term customer needs.
- Developing strong relationships with key buyers and decision-makers and maintaining executive level relationships with accounts.
- Managing local pipeline and forecast for accounts and proactively identifying trends.
- Driving collaboration with internal resources to identify market penetration potential and maximize opportunities.
- Assisting with customer retention.
What you will bring to the role:
- Software/SaaS sales and territory management experience.
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solution selling.
- Ability to own and execute key growth activities, identify new business opportunities, and engage in commercial activities with current customers.
- Proven track record of developing relationships at the highest level of large, complex organizations.
- Must be assertive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of working with a CRM system such as Salesforce.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
