We are looking for a Senior Collections Specialist to join our team in the US and focus exclusively on the US markets. You will work for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from existing clients across Blueground in the US aiming at reducing accounts receivable delinquency. You will focus on anticipating and resolving receivables issues and dealing with difficult cases of clients. You will also ensure that all collection activity is handled professionally, timely, and in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and state and federal guidelines.
What you will focus on:
- Actively reach out to tenants via phone or email to ensure timely collection of rent
- Handle outbound collection calls with problem tenants in terms of accrued owed rents, damages, and other extraordinary charges
- Partner with the cities, Sales, Legal, and Collections to continuously improve our payment and collection processes
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
- Initiate eviction proceedings by providing the necessary documentation to the relevant authority, in partnership with legal counsel
- Review and resolve client-billing problems and reduce accounts receivable delinquency according to collection plans
- Work with channel partners on settling damages and other fees
What we are looking for:
- 3-5 years of prior high volume collection/accounts receivable experience
- B2C experience required
- Real estate/rent collections and/or consumer credit collections background
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong team player
- Attention to detail with excellent customer service attitude
- Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, & Word
- Ability to effectively multitask and work with multiple accounts
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to collection activities
