Senior Executive Assistant

Location: DC-Washington

LAC Federal is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Assistant to work with the Executive Director a major arts and humanity nonprofit organization. As the Senior Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating administrative tasks. The Assistant plans, organizes and prioritizes work assignment and provides follow up with senior officials and other staff. Major tasks will include planning and coordination travel for the Executive Director and Committee members, organizing and arranging meetings of the committee, and managing the Executive Director’s briefings, correspondence and reports. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings and events, preparing reports, and handling confidential information with utmost discretion. Work may performed anywhere within the Continental United States (CONUS). Candidates must provide references and be able to pass a background investigation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Senior Executive Assistant must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role, preferably supporting C-level executives
  • Experience as a Executive Assistant with a federal agency or with an organization in the arts and humanities strongly preferred
  • Must have experience working high-profile contacts to include elected officials, high-ranking government officers, and prominent figures in the arts and humanities
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience using CWTSato E2 Travel System or a comparable government travel system preferred
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English
  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively address issues
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and manage deadlines effectively
