Your day-to-day work will include:
Support a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Client with forensic accounting and internal controls initiatives on fraud detection and mitigation strategies. This involves a detailed understanding of fraud risk, business policies and operational processes, and forensic accounting and internal controls experience to provide accounting and risk assessment.
Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage a group mailbox – answer customer inquiries within 48 hours with the ability to follow up with developers if there is a technical solution/recommendation.
- Create user stories and tickets in Planner with O&M and troubleshoot inquiries from the mailbox.
- Utilize data from Tableau visualizations to inform business decisions and follow up with Grant Recipient POCs with recommended actions for improvement.
- Define and scope vague problems and turn them into successful analytical projects with little guidance.
- Serve on a team; communicate with organizations and establish positive working relationships.
- Maintain proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Teams and Planner.
Experience Requirements:
Mandatory:
- two years of professional experience performing related tasks.
- Excellent management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated situational awareness and professionalism.
- Ability to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and threats to program threats and present solutions.
- Proven ability to adapt to highly dynamic requirements.
- Excellent meeting management skills and Microsoft Office Suite product skills
- Familiarity with data visualization tools

Education Requirements:
Mandatory: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree and subject matter certifications.
Waiverable/Substitutable: An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for an advanced degree.
