Schedule

  • Full-time, remote (U.S. based)
  • Core hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT (with flexibility to adjust as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with primary care providers to manage medication requests, pharmacy coordination, prior authorizations, and referrals
  • Prep and maintain accurate patient charts, confirm eligibility, and ensure patients are matched with the right provider
  • Manage diagnostic test orders, coordinate labs, and securely transfer results while maintaining PHI security
  • Coordinate Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery
  • Track preventive screenings and lab results to support proactive chronic care management programs
  • Handle inbound patient calls with empathy and clarity, providing accurate answers and guidance
  • Collaborate across teams (Care Navigation, Customer Support, Product, Engineering) to enhance patient experience and improve workflows
  • Uphold HIPAA standards and confidentiality at all times
  • Contribute to project/program ownership (10–20% of role) in areas such as Chronic Care Management or Team Operations Enablement

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (telehealth/virtual care preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred; Medical Assistant Certification a plus
  • Strong knowledge of patient care procedures, medical terminology, EMR systems, and telehealth workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline medication requests, manage referrals, and track diagnostic testing
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and resourceful with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable balancing patient care responsibilities with operational tasks in a dynamic environment
