Senior Sales Development Representative

The Senior Sales Development Representative (SSDR) will grow CH Robinson’s business with the organization’s ideal prospects, primarily large size shippers based in North America. In this role, you will conduct conversations with senior executives about their business and supply chain with the goal of gaining access for our commercial organization. The ideal candidate is strong self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven; curious, consultative and influential and can effectively interact with stakeholders at multiple levels from team members to executives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily outbound outreach via email, phone, and social drips using sales engagement software to connect with new prospects
- Engage senior executives in targeted prospect accounts and orchestrate discussions around their complex business needs
- Understand emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leverage understanding to expand relationships with customers
- Partner with marketing to develop and implement prospect communications
- Maintain and grow relationships with internal teams and subject matter experts
- Translate customer needs and adapt messages and style accordingly
- Influence senior customer stakeholders and negotiate complex sales
- Develop strategies to drive more qualified leads
- Utilize lead generation tools to routinely extract contacts and craft accurate and targeted lists of prospects
- Anticipate customer needs and develop sales strategies to capitalize on opportunities
- Articulate the strengths and limitations of assigned products/services and competitor products
- Mentor colleagues and serve as a team lead
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a cold calling or sales development position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Strong written and verbal communications with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
- Influential, consultative and solutions oriented
- Professional, can do attitude with a positive problem-solving ability
- Sales oriented and results driven
- Outstanding organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and last-minute requests
- Experience in the food and beverage, retail, chemicals, energy or automotive industry

Compensation Range
- $19.47 – $40.43
