Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance. This Senior Service Engineer will work from 1 of the 5 locations: Sacramento, CA., Ontario, CA., Mason, AZ., Vancouver, WA., or Denver, CO. The work model for the role is: #LI – Remote This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Division – Services Function. Main stakeholders are both our external and internal customers. You will be mainly accountable for: • Ensuring customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations. • Customer retention by delivering superior customer experience, effectively communicating, meeting service work timeline and expectations. • Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams. • Accurate documentation & reporting, coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities. Qualifications for the role
- BSEE strongly preferred with a minimum of 5 yrs. related experience. Will consider less education with 10+ yrs. related field experience.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of testing of power distribution & delivery of LV & MV breakers, switchgears, relays, and transformers.
- Must be a problem solver with excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in repair and refurbishment of circuit breakers.
- Knowledge of Controls Systems & PLCs, Power DB, Salesforce, NETA, and NICET a big plus.
