WHO YOU ARE:
The Sr. Storage Engineer will have a strong background in NetApp ONTAP, Veeam Backup & Replication, and possess extensive knowledge of IT storage concepts such as NAS, VMware datastores, SAN, and preferably Fiber Channel. Proficiency in AWS FSx and S3 is highly desirable, along with disaster recovery experience. Additionally, familiarity with Dell hardware and iDRAC management is preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design, deploy, and maintain storage solutions based on NetApp ONTAP, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Implement and manage backups using Veeam backup software, ensuring data protection and recovery capabilities.
- Design and configure NAS and SAN solutions, including network-attached storage, Fibre Channel storage area networks, and VMware datastores.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies.
- Monitor storage infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and proactively optimize storage systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities, including firmware updates, patch management, and system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot storage-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in storage solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience working with storage technologies and solutions.
- Strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, including configuration, administration, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in Veeam backup software, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing backup solutions.
- Sound understanding of IT storage concepts such as NAS, VMware datastores, and SAN.
- Knowledge of Fiber Channel storage area networks is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS FSx and S3 for storage services is highly desirable.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Solid understanding of Dell hardware, with the ability to comprehend iDRAC management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
