What You’ll Do

  • Handle high volumes of inbound calls from patients, resolving billing and insurance questions and addressing complaints professionally
  • Make outbound calls for self-pay follow-up and account resolution
  • Review accounts for insurance coverage and correct missing or inaccurate information
  • Educate patients on claim processing, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and patient responsibility
  • Assist patients with MyChart, including setting up payment plans and explaining payment options and financial assistance
  • Analyze revenue cycle issues such as denials, non-payment, overpayment, remittance corrections, and balance research
  • Document all account activity clearly and compliantly, escalating urgent issues when needed
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, privacy standards, and billing regulations

What You Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or post-high school diploma/highest degree earned)
  • 2+ years of billing, bookkeeping, and/or accounting experience
  • Strong phone and written communication skills with a professional, patient-first approach
  • Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining accuracy and poise
  • Familiarity with the revenue cycle and Epic (preferred/expected based on role description)
  • Solid judgment to identify urgency, escalate appropriately, and document thoroughly
