The role:

The Supply Center Business Development Specialist will report directly to the Sr Manager, Supply Center Business Development within Digital Platforms and Engineering. In this role, you will drive channel revenue growth through expansion of new Supply Center locations within a regional territory to ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding our Supply Center KPIs for thermofisher.com. You will work directly with our customers, DPE leaders, commercial teams, marketing teams to educate and drive adoption of the program.

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the Supply Center AOP and associated critical metrics
  • Partner with commercial teams to identify and implement new stocking solutions in strategic locations with tangible opportunity for business growth.
  • Drive implementation of GTM e-strategy alongside global and regional commercial leadership
  • Perform market analysis to drive regional understanding, customer needs and potential areas for growth
  • Exhibit a strong ability to develop trusted and valued relationships with major decision makers, clarify goals, and reach agreements.
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mentality and effectively control expenses
  • Any other related tasks which are deemed relevant to the role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a scientific or business subject area required
  • 3+ years of experience in sales and/or business development with 2+ years of experience with eCommerce, Business-to-Business or other digital disciplines.
  • Results oriented, metrics driven individual with a root cause determination, remediation and continuous improvement approach
  • Experience with technical analysis, including the ability to discover and recommend solutions, define business impacts and provide analysis and improvements.
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communications
  • Consistent track record to build partnerships and work across matrixed organization
  • Strong technical and solid understanding of inventory management systems and practices
  • A high level of integrity and principles that embrace transparency
  • Experience in aligning cross-cultural, cross functional and virtual team.
  • Willingness and ability travel at least 25-30%
