Position overview
CWT Meetings & Events is seeking a Technology Specialist who will provide technical support for CWT M&E’s applications and infrastructure globally. Individual will provide system support and maintenance to ensure business continuity and reduce risk of system downtime. In partnership with the Leadership, will document and analyse functional requirements, identify gaps and alternative approaches to meet requirements while ensuring all deliverables completed.
Position Description
- Provide technical support for applications and CWT M&E’s infrastructure globally.
- Support Technology team as needed for the following: tool configurations, tool maintenance, vendor management, reporting and information requests from end users.
- Partner with global technology teams on platform advancement and enhancements to ensure best in class system and full utilization of tool for upsell to current and future clients.
- Supports development, maintains, and tests new software and/or enhances existing software to ensure that business and technical requirements are met to ensure operational excellence.
- Support as directed and under own initiative, on all technology related projects and queries to ensure smooth operation for M&E staff globally. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and coordinate with Leadership to resolve technical issues and escalate if required.
- Ability to identify and flag risks and issues in all areas and reporting regularly back to Leadership.
- Support internal resources and teams to build upon current operations reporting and efficiency metrics. Ability to consult on global technical processes and ensure alignment to defined global process standards.
- Regularly report schedule and deliver details to project stakeholders as directed by Leadership.
- Management of ticketing service, user and supplier set ups, responding to process and tools questions for all M&E users globally. Supports fixing system bugs and problem solving.
- Supports special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience is required, preferable in technology, finance, business management & analytics.
- Meetings & Events or travel industry knowledge valued but can be learned
- Ability to independently learn new systems and willingness to be a team player
- Ability to interpret data, both financial and otherwise
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Ability to set priorities and work in a fast paced, multi-project environment
- Demonstrated computer aptitude on a variety of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business constituents as well as data experts
- Understanding of technical best practices and how tools can be used to drive operational excellence
