Position Overview:
As a Arabic Remote Agent within the Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) division, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings, including customer service, medical, and other verticals via audio and video. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters! PT options are available.
Responsibilities:
Provide effective audio and video remote interpreting
Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
Perform basic troubleshooting for technical issues
Provide superior customer service
Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
Complete assigned training(s) and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring
Qualifications/Experience:
U.S. resident
Full fluency in both English and Arabic
Technology proficient (including but limited to: web based platforms, email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
Preferred – professional interpreting experience
Preferred – industry specific certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
Preferred – proof of 40+ hour medical interpreting training (ex: Bridging The Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
