Trek Travel provides global multi-day cycling vacations of a lifetime with the goal of helping more people explore and experience the world by bike. We are seeking a Trip Consultant to add to our Inside Sales team that is passionate about providing exceptional hospitality and helping more people explore the world by bike.
As a Trip Consultant, you will be responsible for helping guests throughout the “life of a guest” experience. Building the customer base, creating opportunities, converting marketing leads, and closing sales are important goals in this position. Active customer outreach and contact is required. Trek Travel Trip Consultants are the subject matter expert for all Trek Travel trips, assisting our guests in finding the perfect trip to help them experience their cycling vacation of a lifetime.

POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMTED TO:
- Being a champion for customer service and the customer at large through proactive collaboration with all departments.
- Sales Generation – Leverage all potential guest points of contact generated through incoming calls, Trek Travel website forms, catalog requests, and other marketing initiatives from new and repeat guests, referrals, and business clients to convert contacts into sales.
- Actively seek out and initiate new ways to market Trek Travel to achieve established sales goals, including outbound calling.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust pipeline.
- Meet or exceed response times for all inbound requests.
- Exceptional Guest Service – Answer all incoming calls and respond to callers’ questions about Trek Travel trips and destinations.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Trip Information and Logistics – Gain an in-depth and detailed understanding of all trips in all destinations, including trip logistics, trip activities, terrain information, local attractions and customs, and all other trip information available to better convert contacts into sales/bookings.
- Tracking and Reporting – As needed in MS Excel, Word, and NetSuite.
YOU HAVE:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience.
- Experience with a CRM system
- Experience working within a phone-based environment, where you’ll interact with customers via inbound/outbound calls, email and other mediums as well.
- Availability Monday-Friday – schedule may flex to include evening and weekend hours depending on the time of year.
