Summary
Important: This is a combined Customer Service Agent + Dispatcher role.
The employee is responsible for providing the Radiology Tech in the field with information on patient exams. The Dispatcher will assist and provide direction to the field radiologic technologists so that studies are completed in a timely manner. The employee must maintain a professional demeanor at all times considering the sensitivity of the work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Assign Technologists to the proper general area and facilities as noted on the schedule.
-Page Technologist for STAT, ASAP, and PRIORITY homes.
-Voice mail Technologist for 4 hour and 2 hour STAT turn around times.
-Communicate and report problems with Supervisor and Field Supervisor
-Must assist Technologist with a variety of daily needs (directions, case type, client info).
-Must be willing to cross-train into Customer Service role.
-Answer phones in a timely manner (within 3 rings)
-Flexible to assist with overflow orders (client orders)
-Must assign STAT and “ON CALL” cases within 15 minutes of appearing on screen, or dependent on regional procedure.
-Focus on assigned dispatch area, but must be aware of activity in other areas.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to write well-constructed emails using proper English grammar and punctuation.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Windows Explorer, MS Word Processing software and some experience working with computer software.
Other
-Must be able to complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Lead, or Coordinator.
-Must be able to work overtime as needed.
-Must be flexible with shift changes based on business need.
-Assist with special projects as assigned by management team.
-Actively participate to recommend changes which can create efficiencies and/or process
streamlining.
-Must check mailbox daily to keep abreast of memos.
