Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality patient experience through inbound and outbound call resolution, with a focus on first-call resolution.
  • Manage patient inquiries via multiple communication channels (phone, email, chat) using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar.
  • Review and interpret patient statements, explanations of benefits, balances, and payment plan options.
  • Assist patients with updating information, setting up payment plans, and addressing insurance-related questions.
  • Apply healthcare terminology knowledge (HIPAA, CPT & ICD-10 codes, HCPCS, DRGs, referrals, authorizations).
  • Research information quickly using available resources and FAQs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mentor new hires through ongoing training, probationary support, and feedback.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare call center environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while resolving patient concerns.
